Highly recommend to everyone, doesn’t matter on your horse riding experience. Will be rebooking this the next time we come.”

“We had a fantastic day trip seeing the Golden Circle - highlights were definitely the geysir, Gulfoss and Kerid Crater. Pick up was easy and our guide provided great information throughout about the Golden Circle locations and life in Iceland! Some of our group were late to the bus and we really appreciated that our guide got us to the next stop before going back for latecomers so as to not impact the day for the whole group. We'd definitely recommend this trip from ReykJavik!”

Icelandic horse riding near Reykjavík, with small-group instruction, rain gear, and smooth tölt through volcanic Redhill views.

“This was my favorite experience in Iceland. The owners are both the sweetest and warm people. They assign you a horse and give a thorough explanation on how you should ride. Throughout the ride they are encouraging and also give you tips on what you can do better which u appreciated. They took lots of pictures and also videos so you don’t have to! I had a smaller group so we got more individualized attention which I loved, and increased the quality of the experience. I highly recommend this tour with them. The horses are all very sweet, easy to manage and well taken care of!”

★★★★★★★★★★4.9 · 112 reviews · 3 hours · from $246

Expert Icelandic horse ride near Reykjavik in Hafnarfjörður, focused on tölt and gaits in lava scenery, with included gear and small groups.

“I just loved this activity. It was super windy (which can make most horses pretty kooky) but the horses selected for us were well-behaved and good in a group. We did plenty of tölting and some cantering and every gait was comfortable. Being able to see some countryside out of the city was soothing to me as well.”

★★★★★★★★★★3.7 · 81 reviews · 9 hours · from $258

Full-day Reykjavik tour with a morning Icelandic horse ride and Golden Circle stops, including Þingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss.

“The horse riding was the highlight of the tour, great place, horses, experienced staff, great ride. The Golden Circle Express however was not very enjoyable. The problem is with the 'Express'. All visits were too short especially the stop at Thingfellir where we had only 35 minutes to explore that vast area. Barely had time to visit the bathroom and no time to stop at refreshments/souvenir shop. Geyser and Gullfoss both had 50 to 55 minutes, but still felt too short. I didn't have time to finish my second bowl of the delicious meat soup at Gullfoss and had to abandon it to make to the bus on time.”

Short Iceland horseback ride near Reykjavik, led by guides at Ishestar. Mossy lava fields, Bláfjöll views, beginner coaching, gear included.

“I had the most amazing time! I was lucky enough to ride 1-2-1 with a guide (pot luck) who was fabulous in talking me through how to ride the Tölt correctly as well as teaching me so much about the origins of the Icelandic horse, their union, shoeing style and the land in which they were bred. They chose the horse perfectly based on my previous riding experience so I was really able to enjoy the ride at a faster pace. The facility is set up in an amazing way whether you're a rider or spectator. I 100% would recommend a visit. It was the highlight of my trip and…”

It was an absolutely beautiful winter day (although a bit windy/chilly). My son (age 12) and twin daughters (age 11) rated this as the highlight of their trip.”
